Christopher Eccleston was recently interviewed by a young Doctor Who fan about his role in the new BBC drama The A Word.

The Q&A was fronted by Gerard Groves, an autistic filmmaker, who credits the Ninth Doctor actor for inspiring his own creativity and self-confidence amidst the daily struggles of growing up with Asperger syndrome.

Chris portrays Maurice Scott in the 6-part drama, which airs on Tuesdays at 9pm on BBC One.
