Doctor Who’s brand manager, Edward Russell, will be taking part in a trek in memory of the late Elisabeth Sladen.
He has spoken to WalesOnline about the project, which will see him walking 160 miles from the Doctor Who set in South Wales to Shepherd’s Bush in London. The money raised will go to The Meadow House Hospice, where the actress was cared for throughout her illness. “A lot of people from my generation grew up with Lis,” Edward commented. “She was somebody I identified with from my youth.”
He continued: “It was a connection with her character that I felt and I had this fantastic opportunity to meet her closely on Doctor Who and then The Sarah Jane Adventures.”
We’d like to wish Edward the best of luck. You can sponsor him and find out more here.
