David cast in new psychological thriller

It has been revealed that David Tennant will be appearing in a new psychological thriller called Retreat.
Written by Carl Tibbetts and Janice Hallett, the story follows a couple – played by Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series) and Thandie Newton (Run, Fat Boy Run & The Pursuit of Happyness) – who have their holiday ruined when a half-dead man, who the Tenth Doctor actor will portray, appears on their doorstep with a message of a virus that is killing people on the mainland…
The movie is being produced by The Magent Films, and filming is set to begin in Canada in May. It’s currently slated for an early 2011 theatrical release.

Who cares? Probably a large percentage of the people who visit this website.
It’s a bit Plague 99/Survivors/many others-ish, isn’t it? But then again, I guess the fact that there are so many adaptations of the same theme proves its popularity. I hope David’s role will be sufficiently large to justify seeing it!
