That was the BEST episode EVER!!! I absolutely loved it!!!!! I watched it AT LEAST 20 times!!! I think I can quote the whole episode through now!!! I loved how David Tennant showed up!! He was my favorite doctor!!!! I think John Hurt played the war doctor brilliantly! If I could watch only one episode for the rest of my life, it would be that!!!

I’m having a Birthday film marathon soon with some friends of mine and I’ve chosen the Day of The Doctor to be the last film on the list! My friends aren’t big Whovians as I am so I hope they enjoy it!

Doesn’t anyone remember Martha and 10 visiting William Shakespeare when Queen Elizabeth showed up angry with that pernicious doctor? At the time 10 didn’t know what he’d done to make her so angry so he and Martha just ran! (After all life with a time traveler who knew it could be such fun?) But thanks to this brilliant episode we now know that the doctor married Elizabeth and ran out on her! Typical man! Naturally she held a grudge! Which is why she yelled off with his head seemingly in the past!

This was just one of the many brilliant and subtle moments of the greatest Who episode ever! I’m sure others can add more!
