Karen Gillan has revealed that there’s plenty of heartache on the menu in this year’s Christmas special.

Speaking to the Daily Mail at a signing event of the Amy Pond action figure in Glasgow earlier today, she teased: “It’s really funny but it’s also heartbreaking and you get a glimpse into Amy and Rory’s honeymoon, which is an interesting one.” She also promised that “a really, really scary” monster will be appearing in the festive episode, which wrapped filming in Cardiff earlier this month.

However, the actress remained tight-lipped when pressed on her future in the series. “Who knows?” she said. “I’m just taking it series by series and I’m just having fun.”

The BBC or Hamleys messing up about this event. Waited for a few hours to be tunred away, they could have handed them out so I knew what was happening :(

I’m not happy about this at all. I want more Doctor Who not what we have being diluted throughout the year. Its a disgrace. If this were a 20 episode season then giving out time off would be fine but this is just nonsense. A cliffhanger is a cliffhanger. Its always resolved whether its over a few episodes or a further six. This smacks to me of an experiment to see whether Doctor Who would get bigger figures during the autumn. Thats fine because if it isn’t then don’t do it at all unless your going to increase the amount of episodes produced.
