It’s been confirmed that Arthur Darvill will be taking to the stage in the West End premiere of Our Boys this autumn.

Written by Jonathan Lewis, the play opens at the Duchess Theatre on 3rd October 2012, reports Whatsonstage. It gives “a funny yet candid account of the tedium, terror and tribulations suffered by five young soldiers recovering from injuries incurred in the line of duty”. The production will be directed by David Grindley. It will also star Cian Barry and Billie Piper’s husband, Laurence Fox.

Arthur will be stepping down from his role as Rory Williams in Doctor Who in Series 7.
