Matt says show enters 2013 with “all guns blazing”
Matt Smith has said that fans should prepare for the series to enter its 50th anniversary year with “all guns blazing”.
Speaking to the Guardian the actor describes the upcoming series “as one of the strongest” so far. He reveals: “I am just loving making it. I think we have one of the strongest seasons yet coming up, I really do.” He reaffirms that he has no plans to leave the TARDIS for the forseeable. “We go into the 50th year all guns blazing, and I will be around,” he confirms, jokingly adding: “Forever! For 50 years!”
Series 7 begins in the autumn for 5 episodes, the last of which will be the last to feature Amy and Rory. In the Christmas Special, we’ll be introduced to Jenna-Louise Coleman as the new companion, before the series continues in 2013. Exciting times!

Despite my feelings lately about the way things have happened, I too am looking forward to Series 7 in the lead up to the big 50th anniversary.
