BAFTA has today released the full list of nominations for this year’s Craft Awards with Doctor Who being recognised in a handful of its coveted categories!

Firstly, The Day of the Doctor has been shortlisted for the Special, Visual & Graphic Effects gong with the accolade honouring Milk VFX, Real SFX and The Model Unit for all their efforts in the 50th anniversary special. SFX Supervisor, Danny Hargreaves, tweeted to say he was “screaming with excitement” and sent out “a big thank you to the fans”.

And that’s not the only award the series could be walking away with when the results are revealed on 27th April – the acclaimed docudrama An Adventure in Space and Time is in the running for Costume Design, Make Up & Hair Design and Editing while last year’s Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Proms is up for Entertainment Craft Team!
