Next Time: The Hungry Earth
Doctor Who continues with force next week, as our second two-part adventure of the year kicks off with The Hungry Earth!
The story sees the return of the reptile-like Silurians, who were introduced to the series in 1970. In 2015, the most ambitious drilling project in history has reached deeper beneath the Earth’s crust than man has ever gone before. When the Doctor, Amy and Rory arrive, they’re plunged into battle when the ground itself starts to fight back…
The Hungry Earth airs Saturday 22nd May on BBC1/HD at 18:15. Keep up to date with the latest episode news by clicking here.
looks rubbish!
Looks interesting, have never seen these creatures in action before so i hope it looks good
i hope the storyline is more complicated and not as basic as some other episodes we’ve previously seen.
I’m trying to think, because each time I’ve seen the alien in this image, I swear I’ve seen it or something very similar before, and for some reason, I keep thinking of a Torchwood episode.
From the preview, it doesn’t seem as though the intellectual nature of Amy’s Choice is going to prevail and if that’s the case, it’s unfortunate, but I’m willing to give it a chance.
It’s great that the Silurians are making a return after so long, I just hope the story does them justice.
It is a shame these, so called, Silurians look human! The originals look so much more alien and dangerous!
@Steve
The originals looked dangerous?! I love them, but they looked like what they were, men in suits with feet they were always in danger of tripping over!
this looks really good! i cant wait to see aliens from before the 9th doctor in action!
