The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine - its 423rd - is released across the UK today, priced £4.20.

Inside, preparations for The Big Bang are underway, as DWM journey behind the scenes, braving the darkness of Underhenge to chat exclusively to Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Steven Moffat, director Toby Haynes and monster maker Neil Gorton about all things Pandorica. About Episode 13, the showrunner teases: “Any other hero would be stumped. Fortunately, you are watching Doctor Who.”

Meanwhile, executive producer Piers Wenger asks Matt and Karen what they really think of ‘the Mofferator’ in this month’s Production Notes, and Gareth Roberts, writer of The Lodger, talks candidly about his latest script with its guest star, James Corden.

In part 3 of Supernature, written by Jonathan Morris with art by Mike Collins, the Doctor and Amy uncover a dark secret deep within an alien jungle, while the Watcher presents his ultimate guide to the sinister Autons. Dalek operator, Barnaby Edwards, reveals what it’s like working inside the universe’s most malevolent monsters, and DWM launches its annual season poll, giving us the chance to have our say on the latest series.

All of that, plus the latest news, previews, reviews, and the Fact of Fiction travel back to 1988 to relive the Seventh Doctor’s adventure, The Happiness Patrol.

The issue comes with a free giant-sized double-sided poster, with the Daleks on one side, and the Doctor and Amy Pond by the Pandorica on the other. Don’t miss it!
