John Simm would “certainly consider” returning
John Simm has revealed that he would “certaining consider” returning to Doctor Who if the opportunity were to arise.
The actor – who appeared as the Master in Series 3 and The End of Time – briefly mentioned a potential comeback during an appearance on The One Show earlier tonight. “I would certainly consider it,” he admitted. “There seems to have been a lot of talking about it recently, but I haven’t spoken to anyone about it. I would definitely consider it though. It was such fun to do.”
Would you like to see more of the Master, or has this renegade Time Lord has his day?
STEVEN MOFFAT! GET WRITING!! WE WANT THE MASTER BACK!!!
Master? Yes please!
No, not for a couple of years. New baddies please.
I would still like to see Derek Jacobi get a shot at doing the Master proper. Meaning getting a full episode or two’s worth of Jacobi in full-on Master form. What he did with the part in the 5 minutes (if that) in which the character actually remembered who he was, is more than enough evidence to warrant Jacobi’s return to the role.
This man is an amazing actor.
Would love to see him back!
Yes we need The Master back! But he needs to be EVIL not this new gone good stuff, The Master should be how he always has been.
I would like to see the Master, but I’d also like to see someone else in the role. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the John Simm version of the Master, but I think that the Master should come back, stay in “Mister Saxon” form for one episode, and then regenerate at the end.
I think John Simm was brilliant in the role. Whether or not I’d like to see him back depends entirely on the storyline. I loved 3.12/3.13, really didn’t like The End of Time. It’s all about the writing for me.
He wants to return.
He is the Master. And Steven Moffat WILL obey him.
