Adrian Lester was a guest on Graham Norton’s BBC Radio 2 show today, and, during the interview, he admitted that he has had hypothetical chats with his agent about taking on the role of the Doctor.

The Hustle actor was one of the many names put forward to become the Eleventh Doctor. He revealed it was something they were “going to and fro about”. “I’ve had chats with my agent about it, about considering it,” he said. “Not that it is on my lap to consider at the moment.”

He continued: “Any actor that got offered that part would consider it. It’s a gem of a role. It’s got a long history and it’d be great to do. It’s up in the air, so we will see.”

So, do you think Adrian Lester would make a good Time Lord? Discuss this story below!

I still don’t believe it’s wrong for people to want the Doctor to stay white and male. It’s not about being racist or sexist, it really isn’t.

I didn’t want to comment on this story anymore, but I don’t like the sniping that this topic has produced in this usually great community.
