Series 9 described as “the glory days”
The overriding theme of Series 9 has been described as “the glory days” by Doctor Who producer Brian Minchin.
Speaking to the latest issue of SFX, he revealed that the Twelfth Doctor will be “having the time of his life” when he returns to our screens for his second string of episodes later this year.
“As you saw in the Series 8 finale and Last Christmas, he’s answered his question of ‘Am I a good man?’,” he said. “So this year, we are telling the next stage of the adventure.”
He continued: “We’ve got a very confident Doctor and a very confident companion, who are both experts. So we’re pushing the storytelling further, to give us more scale of adventure.”
He teased that the adventures will be the “most dangerous” they’ve ever had. “The mission statement was bigger adventures and to go even further in time and space,” he elaborated.
