Lee Mack “desperate” for Who role
Lee Mack, creator and star of the BBC’s popular sitcom Not Going Out, has revealed that he’s “desperate” to appear in Doctor Who.
The comic told Radio Times that he’s been secretly angling to guest star in the series since marathoning the show with his family. “We’ve literally watched every episode back to back for the last four weeks, from Chris Eccleston to Peter Capaldi,” he said. “Peter is my favourite, so I’d love to be in it with him. It would be the only time my children would be impressed by anything I’ve done in life.”
If Lee’s dream came true, it would continue Doctor Who’s long tradition of comedic cameos including Peter Kay, Lee Evans, Frank Skinner and, in this year’s series, Rufus Hound.
So, are you a fan of Lee? What sort of character could you see him playing in Doctor Who?
Would love to see Lee Mack in Doctor Who – Would make an excellent Doctor!!!
I’d love this.
I mean, I hate – hate – comedic cameos and ~oooh big name stars~, but since we’re stuck with them, I’d absolutely love it if Lee was brought in on the act.
@Steve
For once something we agree on, Steve :) Lee would be really great that I would like to maybe see him write an episode and appear in it like he does or did for Not Going Out
