BBC Worldwide has reassured disappointed Doctor Who fans that more Classic Series DVDs are in the pipeline.

Their clarification comes after the recent news regarding the release of the Second Doctor’s 1967 serial The Underwater Menace, which has unfortunately been cancelled due to financial problems with the company providing the animated reconstructions of its two missing episodes. In response to the upset, they’ve tweeted to affirm that they’re “hoping” to extend their collection of the Doctor’s pre-2005 adventures by making other serials available in the foreseeable future.

Are you bothered about The Underwater Menace? Which serials should get a DVD release?

I’m not too bothered about the Underwater Menace, and I’m actually a little glad that animation company is having financial problems because, well, that’s what happens when you suck at your job.
