This year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special is still 20 days away but you can already pre-order it on DVD and Blu-ray.

The Husbands of River Song, written by Steven Moffat, will be released on both formats on 25th January 2016, exactly one month after its original broadcast. The festive episode will mark the return of Alex Kingston as River Song who is set to encounter Peter Capaldi’s incarnation of the Doctor for the first time on a a starliner full of galactic super-villains.

It airs on Christmas Day on BBC One at 5:15pm.
