The BBC has today (Thursday) confirmed when they’ll finally be unveiling the brand new Doctor Who companion!

At long last, the identity of the actor or actress who will soon be stepping aboard the TARDIS alongside Peter Capaldi will be revealed live on BBC One THIS Saturday - 23td April 2016 – during Match of the Day’s half-time coverage of the FA Cup semi-final between Everton and Manchester United (approx 6pm BST). No further details have been finalised, however fans are, inevitably, already feverishly speculating about what the special announcement will entail.

It’s been suggested that it will be delivered in the form of a specially recorded scene, while the new companion may just be in attendance at the match. Whatever happens, Saturday night just got better!
