Admit it. You didn’t know what to think when it was confirmed that we won’t be getting another full series of Doctor Who until 2017. In fact, we’re still not over it.

The announcement that the show will be going on another “gap year” sent shockwaves throughout the stratosphere of the fandom (it’s like 2009 all over again!) and our first thought was how the hell we’re going to survive more than 12 months without a visit from TV’s favourite Time Lord. Well, in the wise old words of the Face of Boe, we’re hear to tell you that you are not alone.

We’ve still got this year’s Christmas Special to look forward to, of course, which is certainly something to cling on to (and never, ever let go), but the fact of the matter is that 2016 will be the first time in 7 years that a full series hasn’t aired. It wasn’t the best news, to say the least, but what if it doesn’t have to be as bad as it sounds? Every cloud has a silver lining, after all, and Whovians are renowned for making the best out of a bad situation.

With no full series hitting our tellyboxes this year, now is as good a time as any to revisit the Doctor’s past escapades. You’ve over 700 to choose from, so you’re not exactly going to be spoilt for choice, but why not narrow it down even further and go back to the episodes you’ve unashamedly forgotten?
