New Amy Pond Royal Mint medal available now

The Royal Mint have added a great Amy Pond medal to their set of official Series 5 collectables!

Back in the summer, medals featuring a Dalek, a Weeping Angel and a Smiler were released, and you can now purchase one of the girl who waited too!

Described as an “ideal memento for all Doctor Who fans”, and created in conjunction with BBC Worldwide, the medal is out now, priced £5.99. What do you think?

    Wow, that wins hands down for “likeness nothing whatsoever as to the person it depicts.” I looked at the Dalek, Smiler and Weeping Angel coins, and they’re great. This coin looks nothing like Karen Gillan (or Amy Pond for that matter!) Had it been a guessing game as to who was depicted on the coin, I would have thought perhaps a female Auton with long hair. It’s nice that they’re doing this sort of thing though.
