Big Finish will be releasing a special multi-Doctor adventure to celebrate the 50th anniversary.

The audiobook, ominously called The Light at the End, is to bring together Doctors 4 to 8 (Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvestor McCoy and Paul McGann), who join forces “when they face imminent destruction”. A number of their companions will also be back including Sarah Sutton as Nyssa and Louise Jameson as Leela. Sophie Aldred will too be reprising her role as Ace, and Nicola Bryant as Peri.

“We wanted to make a proper, fully-fledged multi-Doctor adventure for this very special occasion,” writer, director and executive producer Nicholas Briggs said. “It is wonderful all the surviving classic Doctors threw themselves behind the project so enthusiastically. That’s not to say the first 3 Doctors don’t appear. We pay homage to the whole history.”

Producer David Richardson adds: “And that’s not all. Geoffrey Beevers will also be back to create mayhem as the Master, with a number of appearances from some old friends.”

THE LIGHT AT THE END will be available from November 2013 in a standard (2 disc) and limited (5 disc) set – the latter features documentaries and comes in special packaging.

Just listened to the trailer. I loved it so much I downloaded it and listened to it again and again! It sounds amazing! Tom Baker has joined Big Finish just in time.
And the price for the Standard Edition is a better price than I thought it would be, so I can easily buy it!
