regenerationOvernight ratings reveal that an unofficial audience of 10.4million tuned in for David Tennant’s last ever Doctor Who outing, part two of The End of Time, last night!

The figure makes the historic episode the second most watched programme of the day with 35.5% of the total TV share, and that peaked at 36% (10.85m) for the last 25 minutes. It’s officially the most watched Doctor Who regeneration of all time!

A further 389,000 watched its simultaneous broadcast on the BBC HD channel, while 1.1million watched its accompanying edition of Doctor Who Confidential, Allons-y!, on BBC3 afterwards.

The most watched programme of the day was EastEnders, which followed Doctor Who at 7.55PM and managed 11.86m (38.3%).
