Harris Tweed have confirmed that they’d be happy to replicate the Eleventh Doctor’s tweed jacket for fans to purchase!

The manufacturers have been blown away by the increased interest that has surrounded the material since it was revealed as part of the Eleventh Doctor’s costume, and have said that they would try and make the product “as close as possible to the original”.

Lorna Macaulay of Harris Tweed Authority told The Times: “We’ve had a huge amount of interest in this authentic product. It’s an old weave, a Harris weave, everybody here recognises it.”

The jacket, which will be worn by Matt Smith throughout the new series, has been indentified as a Mackenzie ‘two by two’ dogtooth, which the company believe was produced in the 1960s.
