It only feels like yesterday we were sitting down to watch The Eleventh Hour on TV, but, sure enough, today marks its official release on DVD and Blu-ray, along with The Beast Below and Victory of the Daleks!

The disc contains the first 3 episodes of the new series and its special features include The Monster Files, a guide to the Eleventh Doctor’s foes with previously unseen footage and exclusive interviews with the cast and crew, as well as a preview of a new Doctor Who book.

If you’ll be buying it, we recommended acquiring your copy from HMV if you can, as they’re celebrating its release with limited edition loop-handled full-colour carrier bags featuring the Doctor, Amy and a Dalek!

That’s Doctor Who Series 5 Volume 1, out now on DVD & Blu-ray at the RRP of £15.99!

    I think thats a bit on the boring side if I’m honest :S
    The old ones had the monsters and bits of the void and stuff and this cover just has the characters, ah well will still be buying! :D

    In all honesty, I am waiting for the full box set release. It is to early to rewatch while the series is still on.

    @Ruby
    I’d expect that’s just because both Eleven and Amy are new. But, I’m expecting the Silurians on Volume Three and River Song on Volume Four (you can’t fit the monsters on that cover…) ;)
