A new promotional shot for the fourth series of The Sarah Jane Adventures has been revealed!

The picture depicts Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), Luke Smith (Tommy Knight), Clyde Langer (Daniel Anthony) and Rani Chandra (Anjili Mohindra) standing before an array of monsters and aliens they’ll be encountering in their new adventures, which begin on CBBC next month. Displayed behind them (left to right) is the Androvax, Shansheeth, Dark Hoard and the Graske.

    I preferred Luke’s old hair, but then again it doesn’t really matter. Good to see Androvax will be back, but I think the Graske needs a well earned break soon. :D

    Who knows. Although, the title of Gareth and Clayton’s finale does sound a bit Trickster-y…

    @TWWL
    It is an RTD story, so… But, it does look like a 456 duplicate. With purple fur.

    Look at the vulture – i could make a better monster with a peice of paper and sissors.

    I mean seriously ? I thought they had better production values than that ScoobyDoo looking monster.

    Very dissapointed and i hope thats not the doctor/manning episode.

    Also they need more new monsters , i mean the Graske ?????? They should practically promote him to regular along with the trickster.

    What next Slitheen sisters called Slithsters ? (Maybe i shouldnt joke – you know what R.T.D is like :L)

    @No. 3
    Sorry, but the Vultures are the Doctor/Manning episode.

    @Sean
    I actually prefer Luke’s hair now to his hair last year, didn’t seem right. Androvax was great last year so can’t wit for him again. And this is actually first thing we’ve heard about the Graske appearing, plus it’s been two years since it was in the series. Shame we’ve got another Slitheen/Blathereen appearance coming plus the Trickster.

    @dandaines
    Yes, the Trickster’s back in the finale.

    yer… it is a bit…. oh well, as long as it has a good story it won’t matter will it?

    i cant wait at all… the doctor withdrawal symptoms are becoming a nightmare…

    well just remember this is a childrens show! and u cant expect the best with this as it gets an extremley small budget due to the type of show and of the time it is show! thats why they have 2 reuse previous aliens from the series n aliens from the main show, but im sure it will not fail 2 disapoint n i shall b tuning in as per useall.

    specially looking forward to the MATT SMITH/KATY MANNING episode with thougs Vulture creatures, they look cool. The right type of alien 4 its target audince!

    @tyler
    The budget is small. But that said, this year has sort-of broken away from using Who aliens (The Graske and Slitheen/Blathereen are the only Who monsters appearing) with just two returning SJA monsters and some very impressive robots (Which sort-of explains were the budget went).

    The Shanseenth look terrible. Someone actually descrided them as being like old-who monsters.

    @Tony
    They do look strange in action though, so that’s sort of a plus… maybe?

    However, this series of The Sarah Jane Adventures is following Series Five of Doctor Who with the whole smaller budget = impressive series thing. The shots in the trailer with the Dark Hoard look incredible.
