David Tennant has “loved every second” of new series
A familiar face is on the cover of this week’s Radio Times, and the same familiar face is also interviewed inside the issue about his new drama, Single Father.
If you haven’t guessed already, that familiar face is David Tennant, who has told the magazine that he still stands by his decision to step down from his role as the Tenth Doctor as it “felt right to pass the baton on and for it to continue to thrive”, noting that he “loved doing it so much” and “wouldn’t have missed” the opportunity for anything.
Regarding Matt Smith’s first series, Tennant said: “I’m very nervous to say anything because anything I say is turned into some soundbite and used by the Daily Mail.”
He continued: “Genuinely, I think it’s been brilliant. I’ve loved every second of it. It’s a thrill for me to be watching it as a viewer again. I knew Matt was going to be fantastic and he is. He’s a great choice and he’s knocked it out of the park.”
