Series 6 casting update – Lynda Baron set to appear?
Lynda Baron will reportedly be appearing in the new series of Doctor Who.
According to Wales Online, the actress, best known for her portrayals of Nurse Gladys Emanuel in Open All Hours and Auntie Mabel in Come Outside, is currently filming her scenes in Cardiff alongside Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and returning guest star James Corden. If the report is true, it won’t be the first time we’ll have seen her in the series.
In 1966, she appeared as a singer in The First Doctor serial The Gunfighters, and later played the role of Captain Wrack in the Fifth Doctor 1983 adventure, Enlightenment.
