Shiver me timbers! The new series is fast approaching, and today we’re looking at the voyage that awaits us in Week 3, otherwise known as The Curse of the Black Spot!

It’ll be a case of all hands on deck in this story, as the Doctor, Amy and Rory take to the high seas. Written by Steve Thompson and directed by Jeremy Webb, it guest stars Hugh Bonneville as a Pirate Captain, and model and actress Lily Cole will also be making an appearance as the mysterious green creature glimpsed in the trailer.

As you’ll know, filming for the swashbuckling adventure took place in Cornwall, and from the various pictures and videos that transpired, it looks like there’s lots of sword-fighting, plank-walking and rope-swinging on the way! Well, it is a pirate story after all…
