Shocking mid-series cliffhanger plot details revealed
Happy April Fools’ Day! As many of you guessed, this article was our prank for this year, which means that, as far as we know, Rose Tyler and Martha Jones aren’t returning in the new series…
We appreciate that we may have upset a few of our visitors, but we hope that it can be taken in the spirit in which it was intended. Obviously we’d all like to see Rose and Martha back (well, most of us anyway!), so our deepest regrets if we have caused any annoyance. Hope you can forgive us!
To avoid further confusion, we’ve moved the story. If you wish, you can read it here.
@teamfez
I’m glad I’m not alone in that regard.
@GhostLord89
I dont think any doctor who fan are liking April fools at the moment LOL
If you think you feel silly for getting fooled by this, put yourself in the shoes of a guy in Canada where it’s not even 7 PM on March 31 yet! But well done, Whoviannet! This is one of the better gags I’ve seen in a while, with its plausibility adding an extra dimension!
Obvious April’s fools joke is obvious.
I really wouldn’t want any of those two characters to come back to the show because
1/ they had closure of some sorts. Rose is happy with her Handyman in her parallel unverse, and Freema is (surprisingly) married to Mickey.
2/ Martha started as a great companion, was a good one while she was a regular, and completely lost her personnality whern joining U.N.I.T. Heving er back would be flogging a dead horse.
3/ Rose was annoying from “Rose” to “Journey’s End”, then the show started to focus on the Doctor again, and was annoying again at the end of David’s tenure.
I still like these actresses, and would be glad to see them again in who related stuff (It wouldn’t be the first time actors would come back to play a different role in Who-related stuff)

Exactly, like Freema being Martha’s cousin at the end of Season 2 and Karen being a soothsayer in Season 4. I’m not sure it would be as easy to be another character after being the Doctor’s Companion though.
not funny whoviannet, just not funny, hate april fools day…..
Thank god it is April Fools.
Yeah, got really excited for about a minute and a half…
Clearly an April Fool’s joke – but oh how I wish it weren’t.
PLEASE don’t be an April Fool’s joke! That would not be funny at all.
I HATE APRIL FOOLS!!!
I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS AND THEN I REALIZED THAT IS A LIE!
Yeah, realised it was an April Fool even before I read the article, I’m afraid. Still, nice one, WhovianNet!
I will honestly hate you if this is an April Fools joke :/
How thrilling!! Though it sounds almost too good to be true…
Oh thank God! I UTTERLY HATE ROSE! I’m so glad she ain’t returning! No room in DW for you Rose! It’s all about the Ponds for me!
Although more than likely an April Fool’s Day prank, I do wonder if this is a truth sheathed within a good natured fib? The whole story smacks of light-hearted fun but what if it were true in some small way? Wouldn’t this be the ultimate way of keeping a heavy spoiler like this from the pubic by announcing it as an April Fool’s? It’s a little like plausible deniability – if this is brought up in the papers near the cliffhanger air date then the production team fan pass it off as over-zealous papers getting the wrong end of the stick…
Yeah I got really excited by it all and stuff until my friend Ellie started laughing at me and stuff and I looked at it again and after the intial excitment I saw how awful the quotes were and then I had to laugh about it myself…
WHOVIANNET!! *Shakes angery fist*
@Rose
Sorry to burst your bubble but they are allowed.
Damn They Got me!
DMANET,i was really exited
