Ricky Gervais’ official website has confirmed that he has recently filmed a Doctor Who sketch for his forthcoming BBC Two comedy series, ‘Life’s Too Short’.

While details are being kept under wraps, the post promises that it’s “something for sci-fi nerds everywhere”, and it’s not known whether any of the real Doctor Who cast will appear. It won’t be the first time Ricky’s featured the show in one of his series. In 2007, David Tennant guest starred in ‘Extras’ when Gervais’ character, Andy, landed a role as a monster.

‘Life’s Too Short’ is an observational comedy, by Gervais and Stephen Merchant, which follows the daily frustrations of Warwick Davis, one of Britain’s preeminent dwarf actors.

Oh great.I’m a fan of his stuff, but I thought the bit he did in Extra’s was a bit insulting to the show, really.
