Rate & Discuss: The Curse of Clyde Langer – Part 2
In today’s episode, Clyde is abandoned on the streets of London. One person reaches out to him, but he’s warned about the legendary Night Dragon.
Clyde’s challenge continued this afternoon, as he faced the legends of the Night Dragon…
Living alone and abandoned on the cold streets of London, was there any hope left for our young hero? Well, luckily for him, the new kid on the block Sky noticed that something was wrong – but just what sparked Sarah Jane and Rani’s sudden hatred towards their friend?
So, what did you think of Part 2? Rate and discuss away in the comments! Next week, The Sarah Jane Adventures will reach its conclusion when the gang investigate the SerfBoard, a new must-have computer, in the final ever story, The Man Who Never Was, by Phil Ford.
I actually think this was the best episode of Sarah Jane Adventures there has been.
Just good acting and great writing…at a level that kids and adults could understand.
No great alien threat but that wasnt what the story was about to be honest
Just sad to think there is only 2 episodes left
The emotional touches in yesterday afternoons episode knocked spots off any we`ve seen recently on Dr Who and for the first time in ages I actually felt for a character.
Now SJA has finished get some of the key personnel on board Dr Who pronto!!.
I can’t believe how hard this episode made me cry! It was a beautiful story, told within a short amount of time that I will never forget due to the fact that it made me care not just about the main story but also the quiet lessons in between.
Apparently you don’t need a bunch of empty flash and meaningless sex (Torchwood), or a lot of characters that don’t connect (Sorry Moffat).
For a really great show, you just need a really good story and the courage to tell it. Thank you SJA and Russel T Davies!
found that when clyde’s new friend went missing i felt very emotional. blub. can’t believe that there is only one two part one left. will each part be like an hour does anyone know??
Amazing. I almost wanted Clyde and Ellie to have their life together, as opposed to Sarah Jane and Rani liking him again. So sad when he realised he’d never see her again and that she thought he’d abandoned her. :’(
A few hours later I went back and thought about this episode. I don’t think Ellie believed Clyde left her, I think she left him.
When he told her his plans for their future she saw that he had the talent and the drive to make his dreams come true. For Clyde homelessness never would have been anything but a temporary setback. Ellie knew this and she wasn’t excited, she was scared, he would have forced her into a life she’d walked away from.
If you ever work with the homeless that have been out there a while, you see that it’s not so easy to help them change their reality. It’s not always getting them a place to stay, it’s getting them to change the mindset that led them there in the first place!
Ellie told Clyde people on the streets didn’t have the courage to fight for their lives, that was how they ended up there to begin with. That line will always stay with me because no matter the circumstance, she was right. In order to lose you have to give up first.
