    @Patrick
    I’m not sure you could have someone who’s played the Doctor come back as a companion. It would look at bit weird for starters.

    @stetsons are cool
    Pity about that. K9 and Sarah Jane were two of the the best companions ever.

    @Christian
    It would certainly be funny at least at first.

    Just because its British doesn’t mean all the characters and actors have to be British but lets not have them take control of the program and make sure its not all Americans.

    EMMA WATSON
    i mean hermione herself would be such a fantastic companion – think of the banter!
    but a completely new character played by emma would be great as well.
    on a side note i think captain kirk and captain jack are crazily similar in some ways….SO CAPTAIN KIRK YAH.
    KATNISS EVERDEEN WOULD BE A KICKASS COMPANION!
    no but for real she is so much like the doctor! peeta would be good too!

    I’d love to be a companion xD

    But I think that as an actress, Emma Watson would be awesome too.

    The new “WHO” Companion?
    http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3173891072/nm3220499

    Already had bit part in “Victory of the Daleks”… has the right surname… and is a dead ringer for Mary Elizabeth Winstead… what’s not to like?

    My vote anyhow… even if she is in the West End (with Torchwood’s Eve Myles..) until the end of April… she’s free after that….

    I think that Steven Moffat should go for a largely unknown actress, preferably one from the North West of England. All the companions over the past few years, except for Amy Pond, have hailed from London. I want to see a companion come from my neck of the woods.

    I think that billie piper should come back. Even if it was for one episode that would make my dreams come true.she and donna were the best companions.

    I want a companion that is attractive but unromantic and can actually contribute something real to the show and can make the Doctor a “Better person” again. I think there should be a real likeability and some remarkable quality about the companion, whoever they are. I am not liking the direction of the show now- unremarkable overly sexual dysfunctional wives and boring husbands and sadistic psycho pseudo wives need not apply. I don’t like how the moral centre of the show has gone by the wayside! The Doctor being turned on by cruelly killing a race? The Doctor ot chastising Amy when she tried to sleep with him on the night before her wedding? Sorry, anti role models to me.
