Eve to take to the stage in a new West End play
Eve Myles will be appearing in a new West End play which is to open next month, it has been confirmed.
Whatsonstage reports that the Torchwood actress will be playing the role of Emma in All New People, which is written by – and stars – Scrubs star Zach Braff. Braff appears in it as Charlie, a 35 year old with a broken heart, whose perfect escape is interrupted by a parade of misfits, including a hired beauty, a fireman, and an eccentric real estate from England who is desperately trying to stay in the country.
“I’m delighted to have been cast as the character of Emma in such a well anticipated and funny play,” Eve said. “Having concentrated on TV work recently, I’m excited to be returning to the stage and I’m very much looking forward to working with Zach.”
All New People will be playing at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London from Wednesday 22nd February, after runs at the Manchester Opera House (8th-11th February) and the King’s Theatre in Glasgow (14th-18th February). The play is directed by Peter DuBois.
