Steven Moffat has revealed a few more details about Amy and Rory’s exit in the next series, confirming that they’ll be facing the Weeping Angels during their final story.

Speaking at a press conference earlier today, where Jenna-Louise Coleman was unveiled as the new companion, the showrunner teased: “Amy and Rory will leave in a final encounter with the Weeping Angels. Not everyone gets out alive, and I mean it this time.” They’ll depart in Episode 5 of the new series this autumn.

It’s also been announced that 6 of Series 7’s 14 episodes will be aired this year, including the 2012 Christmas Special, which will feature Coleman’s companion debut.
