Remember when… they all called for the Doctor?

The brilliant thing about the Doctor is that you can always rely on him – well, that is unless Earth has been transported across space at the forefront of a Dalek invasion. Typical.

Thankfully, we could all depend on the band of fighters who just would not rest until our hero returned to save the day. In the Series 4 finale, The Stolen Earth/Journey’s End, the worlds of Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures collided as the Children of Time joined forces to defend the Earth. Even Rose came back to join the party!

And thank the Mighty Jagrafess they did, because if it hadn’t been for them assembling at our planet’s time of desperate need, the Doctor would never have discovered Earth (plus the 26 OTHER planets realigned as part of the Reality Bomb, but that’s a different story…) hidden just out of sync with the rest of the universe. Do you remember the triumphant moment the Doctor’s friends made that all-important call, with the help of Harriet yes, we know who you are Jones? Well, you can relive it all over again right now!

What is your memory of waiting for the Doctor to pick up? Share ‘em in the comments…

Such a brilliant moment! And I remember very well the happy moment in the TARDIS when they were pulling the Earth back home afterwards.

(when I read the title of this post, I initially thought of the time Martha walked the Eart and made everyone call out for the Doctor at once – that was a great moment too!)

One of my favourite Who moments ever! The music, the story and everything just made this a brilliant scene! I still miss the old Who crew!

The end of Series 4 gets a lot of flack for the Tardis towing the Earth and all that, and yeah it was quite an over-the-top episode in a lot of ways, but that’s what made it great to me.

Also, although we didn’t know it at the time, it was the finale to the 10th Doctor’s last full-series and I think in that light, it was quite fitting.

The Supreme Dalek, Davros, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Smith, two 10th Doctors (one of which was part human), Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, K-9 and Mickey The Idiot and the Tardis towing the Earth home to the Ood “Song of Freedom”…….it was the ultimate blowout and memorable for it.

I agree, it was a briliantly over the top episode that brought a tear to my eye!@JC
