Review & ratings round up for last night’s Journey
The Doctor and Clara journeyed to the heart of the TARDIS last night, but was it a journey worth accompanying?
According to the Guardian this week’s episode which due to its nature “was always going to make us squeal” meant that the dedicated Whovians among us were “left happy” and the Radio Times agrees the “entertaining” adventure made for a “playfully timey-wimey treat”. Digital Spy was impressed too, as they describe the outing as a “hugely enjoyable” one which was “packed with fannish thrills”.
However sadly not all reviews have been that favourable. Labelled by the Telegraph as “a story of wasted opportunities”, the episode, writes Crave Online, was let down by its “lackluster” premise and “underdeveloped guest characters” who the Independent say were “totally redundant”. Mixed responses but which do YOU agree with..? Let us know!
The journey was shared by 4.9 million according to Saturday’s initial overnight figures.
Series 7 will continue next Saturday in The Crimson Horror at 6:30pm on BBC One.
