The BBC has released the official trailer for An Adventure in Space and Time ahead of its premiere next week.

The one-off docudrama transports viewers back to 1963 to reveal the story of how Doctor Who made it to the screen.

Starring David Bradley as William Hartnell, the drama is written by Mark Gatiss and was described as “a wonderful tribute” to the First Doctor by his real-life granddaughter Jessica Carney at the BFI premiere last night.

An Adventure in Space and Time airs on BBC Two on Thursday 21st November at 9pm.
