Jenna Coleman has promised fans the Eleventh Doctor’s regeneration episode is a “perfect” ending to his era.

The actor will hand over the TARDIS keys to Peter Capaldi in next month’s Christmas Special and his co-star has told the Guardian that she was “an absolute mess” when she first read his final scenes. “I put it off for ages because once you read the last page, that’s it, the story is over,” she explained. “I was an absolute wreck when I finished it. It’s good. It’s sad, but it’s what needs to happen.”

Jenna will be back on our screens as Clara in The Day of the Doctor on 23rd November.
