Typical BBC – Enforce Licence but when it comes down to selling it’s products, we only get DVD’s! It’s time the BBC came into the 21st century!!
@Steve
Have to admit, I agree with ya, Steve.
Especially knowing this boxset has (an?) additional special feature(s) compared to the DVD we got. I think another round of complaints to the BBC is in order.
Here is the bonus extras on the American Blu-Ray from the BBC –
The very first Doctor Who adventure, “An Unearthly Child,” on a bonus disc with its own bonus content (including “The Pitch of Fear,” a sketch starring Mark Gatiss and David Walliams (Little Britain) that takes a comedic look at the creation of Doctor Who)
“The Making of the Adventure” (a behind-the-scenes featurette hosted by Carole Ann Ford, the actress who played the First Doctor’s companion)
Deleted scenes
Reconstructions
“William Hartnell: The Original” featurette
I am flaming annoyed! It is another nail in the coffin for the BBC as far as I am concerned!
IIRC it also has a recreation of the 2nd Doctor -> 3rd Doctor regeneration, which the R2 DVD definitely lacks.
