The Twelfth Doctor briefly returned to our screens tonight in an exclusive clip from his upcoming yuletide adventure.

In this year’s Christmas Special, our Time Lord will be joined by Nick Frost as Santa Claus who was on hand earlier this evening to deliver an early present for Doctor Who fans.

The preview, which you watch in the player below, was shown as part of BBC One’s Children in Need fundraising festivities. Don’t forget to donate as every penny goes towards changing the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK.

“Who you gonna call?” Check out the first trailer for this year’s Christmas Special!

    Started of very dumb, like it was Robots Of Sherwood with Santa Claus instead of Robin Hood. But it immediately improved when the Doctor appeared! The scene suddenly changed tone, becoming darker. The way The Doctor acted was very intriguing, The confrontation between The Doctor and Santa was very good. Two childhood heroes finally teaming up!
    From the trailer it looks like a cross of Alien, The Thing, and Santa Claus! It looks darker than most Christmas specials and I’m not really sure that’s such a good thing but I certainly am looking forwards to this episode!

    Once again, Clara dominated! I am so bored of Clara! You would think that Moffatt could get it into his thvk head that this is called “Doctor Who”!!!

    @Steve
    Clara dominated? She shut up without a word and silently did exactly as the Doctor told her. And that’s *after* Santa put her in her place.
