Jenna interviewed in new DWM
2015’s first issue of Doctor Who Magazine is released today (Thursday) and inside there’s an exclusive feature interview with Jenna Coleman.
The actress talks about the lives and times of her on screen alter ego, Clara Oswald, and hints at what’s to come for her character when she returns in Series 9. “Clara and the Doctor are addicted to each other,” she reveals. “One can’t go without the other, and I think that’s definitely what Clara’s realised. In a way that’s quite dangerous, because she realises that there is no going back for her now.”
Also inside, director Rachel Talalay discusses helming the Series 8 finale, Steven Moffat answer readers’ questions, the Doctor and Clara face Sontarans and Nazis in a new comic strip and there’s all the latest features and and reviews to boot. It’s out now, priced £4.99.

This makes it seem like Clara might die or whatever her equivalent of death might be when Jenna decides to leave the show. With Danny in the series, Clara could have left like Martha, giving her options of returning but now they’ve turned it into an addiction, it seems like she won’t leave of her own accord. This is fine but I hope they don’t call their relationship an addiction in the show. Sending messages about giving in to your addiction or killing Clara off because of her ‘addiction’ seems like a bad moral to me.
