Red Nose Day is upon once again which means that the nation will be coming together to raise lots of money for disadvantaged people living in the UK and across Africa.

The Doctor is no stranger to the fundraising festivities and the show’s incumbent Time Lord, Peter Capaldi, recently travelled to Malawi to see how the continuing funds are helping to transform the lives of families who are living in desperate poverty. Read his Africa Diary here and the full story will be aired during the Comic Relief telethon which airs tonight (Friday) from 7pm on BBC One.

Doctor Who has a long standing association with Comic Relief and in recent years its charitable contributions have included the Space & Time mini-episode in 2011 and 1993’s Curse of Fatal Death, starring Rowan Atkinson, which you can watch in the player below.

Don’t forget to donate what you can and you can read how else you can get involved here.
