Series 8 finale heading to US cinemas in 3D

The Series 8 finale of Doctor Who will enter a new dimension later this year when it heads to big screens across the US, it has been announced.

BBC Worldwide and Fathom Events have organised the special one-off event, hosted by Will Wheaton, which will present last year’s climactic two-part story, Dark Water and Death in Heaven, in 3D and Dolby Atmos in over 700 cinemas across America. In addition, the screening will also include a brand new Series 9 prequel, The Doctor’s Meditation, plus an exclusive interview with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman.

It will take place on September 15th and 16th 2015 at 7:30pm (local time) and tickets can be purchased online - here - from Friday (31st July). Let us know if you’ll be going below…

    The BBC is the shame of UK television. They so quickly forgot who pays for these programs in favour of America! So, I say, take money from BBC America and improve the quality of the New Series, first of by getting rid of Steven Moffatt and Clara!!!
