It’s finally Friday, hurrah! What better way to bring in the weekend than with a visit from our favourite Time Lord!?
A repeat visit it may be, but it is a fantastic one nonetheless – as the time and space defying Series 5 finale gets another airing on BBC Three! Firstly, in The Pandorica Opens, the Doctor’s friends unite to send him a terrible warning, before Matt Smith’s first series arrives at its dramatic conclusion in The Big Bang, in which the only hope for reality lies with a little girl who still believes in the stars.
Relive all the drama, action and suspense from 7pm tonight (Friday) on BBC Three, and join us on Twitter @WhovianNet as you watch. We’ll be toasting the happy couple with the hashtag #ThePandoricaReopens. Make sure you all get involved and tweet along!
James Corden was named as Best Actor at last night’s Tony Awards in New York!
The actor won the award for his acclaimed role in One Man, Two Guvnors on Broadway. He portrays Francis Henshall in the show, which is also playing in the West End.
In his acceptance speech, he said he was “overwhelmed” to have won over his fellow nominees, who included Philip Seymour Hoffman.
BBC Three’s repeats of Matt Smith’s first series continue tonight, as humanity faces the dawn of a new age.
In Cold Blood, the saga of the Silurians draws to its climax, but the Doctor must face his most difficult challenge yet, in a battle in which he cannot take sides.
The episode, by Chris Chibnall, first aired on 29th May 2010, and you can relive it tonight on BBC Three from 7pm. Meera Syal, Neve McIntosh and Richard Hope guest star.

Bill Nighy has revealed that he was once offered the chance to play the Doctor in Doctor Who.
The actor admitted to The People that he ultimately decided to turned down the role, as he feels “it comes with too much baggage”.
“I was offered the role once,” he said. “I won’t tell you when, because the rule is that you’re not allowed to say you turned that job down. It’s disrespectful to whoever did it.”
He added: “I was approached. I didn’t want to be the Doctor. No disrespect or anything.”
Bill’s credits include Love Actually, Pirates of the Caribbean and Hot Fuzz. He appeared in Series Five of Doctor Who as Dr Black in Vincent and the Doctor by Richard Curtis.
…who fancies a repeat of The Beast Below? Well, if you answered ‘yes’ to that question, you are in luck! The second episode of the Steven Moffat era is repeated tonight on BBC Three, and that’s not all!
Straight after it you will be able to relive the epicness that is Victory of the Daleks too, so get nice and comfy on your sofa (or behind it…) and prepare yourself for a Friday night in with the Doctor and Amy. Don’t forget that you can tweet along with us as you watch @WhovianNet!

Karen Gillan talks about leaving Amy Pond behind in a new interview with CraveOnline, telling the website that the time “feels right” to be moving on.
“The Ponds are leaving,” she said. “I kind of had a rough idea of how long their story was going to last, so I’d known for quite some time. But it’s just so weird. I was 21 when I started, going into it wide-eyed, not knowing what was going to happen. It feels like a lifetime because so much has happened. Coming out of it, it’s exceeded my expectations.”
The actress also admits that she “didn’t really know what to expect” when she signed up for the role. She explained: “Then it just went crazy when it aired in Britain. It’s nice to be part of a show that is loved by people. It is probably not always going to be like this.”
She goes on to reveal that her favourite episode is The Eleventh Hour. “It wasn’t the first one we’d shot, but it was episode one of our time on Doctor Who,” she said. “I just think there is something magic about that episode. It is spellbinding when you watch it.”
She finishes: “Now, to be coming to the end of it, it is really sad because I have had the most brilliant time on the show. But it is time to move on and on to other things.”
If you’ve something to say about Series 7, head on over to our dedicated discussion!

So there’s another award to add to the collection!
The set includes River Song with a Pandorica chair and will be available to buy in Booth #3949 for $30. They have also announced that they’ll be launching a new classic series item at the event, with more details to follow shortly.

In the extract, Karen seemingly confirms that we may get to see more of Amy’s parents in the new series following their return at the end of Series 5. “In this series, we’re starting to get glimpses into other aspects of Amy,” she said. “And having her parents back in her life definitely does have an effect on her. But it’s kind of a mixed effect…”
