Doctor Who Magazine #411 details

July 22nd, 2009

dwm-411-coverA few days ago we showed you the cover of the 411th issue of Doctor Who Magazine, and now we have all the details just in time for its release tomorrow.

Everybody’s talking about the new series at the moment, but the latest Doctor Who Magazine takes a blast from the past with an exclusive interview with Tom Baker, who recently recorded a new 5-part audio series, Hornets’ Nest.

Also inside, find out how you can download The Mists of Time, a brand new audio story written by Jonathan Morris, featuring the Third Doctor and Jo! When Jo finds herself on an alien planet in the far future, she begins to recall a tale of ghosts and murders, and a terrible Time Lord secret…

Plus, DWM aims to find out whether or not Doctor Who really is the best programme in the world, so it’s lucky that TV experts Dick Fiddy, Alison Graham, Gill Hudson, Mark Lawson, Ben Lawrence, Jon Peake and Ally Ross are on hand to reveal just how the ongoing adventures of the Time Lord are really perceived by the media professionals…

Meanwhile, outgoing head writer, Russell T Davies, has his say in his up-to-the-minute Production Notes, the Watcher reveals everything you’ll ever need to know about the Doctor’s fifth cricket-loving incarnation, DWM talks candidly to Katy Manning, the actress who played companion Jo Grant, and, in You Are Not Alone, Neil Harris talks about what it’s like to see your favourite Doctor Who stars naked on stage!

As well as all that, as glaciers and dinosaurs threaten to destroy present-day Sydney, how on earth can the Doctor save the day? Find out how in the latest comic strip, The Age of Ice, by Dan McDaid with art by Martin Geraghty. And their are spooky times ahead as Peter, Jac and Clay – also known as the Time Team - watch the 1989 Seventh Doctor story, Ghost Light, as the Fact of Fiction disinters 1967’s Second Doctor story, The Tomb of the Cybermen…

For all the latest news, previews, competitions and more, don’t miss Doctor Who Magazine #411, which is released in the United Kingdom tomorrow at the usual price of £3.99!
