Who’loween Spooktacular 2010 – Scariest Enemy!
This time last year you may remember we hosted a ‘Who’loween Spooktacular’ in which we embarked on a spine-chilling mission to discover the scariest Doctor Who story of all time, which eventually went to Series 3’s Blink with over 50% of the final vote.
With Halloween nearly upon us yet again, we’re getting into the spirit of things once more – and this year we want to find out who or what our visitors (that’s you!) think is the scariest ENEMY to have crossed the Doctor’s path!
Our beloved Time Lord is no stranger to terrifying encounters, and throughout his travels he’s come face to face with some of the most bloodthirsty, evil, nightmareish foes in the universe. There have been so many, in fact, that we just couldn’t work out which of them managed to scare us the most, so this is where we need your help!
All we want you to do is comment below telling us which enemy from the series sends the biggest shiver up your spine, and one or two reasons explaining why they affect you so much. It can be anyone or anything from the past 40+ years, so you’ve got plenty of choice! Do the Daleks send you doolally, or is it the Cybermen that give you the chills? Are the Demons your downfall? Do you freeze in fear at the sight of the Flood?
So – it’s over to you! Let us know which enemy it is that sends you squeeling behind the sofa, and, this time next week – on October 22nd – we’ll be taking a handful of your submissions and opening a poll on the home page to determine WhovianNet’s scariest enemy of all time! Make sure you contribute to ensure yours is included in the final vote!
The poll will be open throughout half term and the results will be revealed on Halloween.
Happy discussing, and watch this space for more Who’loween Spooktacular shenanigans!
Vashta Nerada!, they live in shadows, what else is there to say
Cybermen are horrifying, mindless, emotionless and set on making the universe in their image.
Midnight creature for sure! Whatever was in Sky Silvestri has my vote. Steals your voice and body, takes hold of your mind and turns you into it’s echo and this is a form of reproduction?
I’m going for Vashta Narada cause anything that hides in the dust of sunlight beams and can clean your bones before you know you’re dead…that deserves respect.
The Weeping Angels were definately creepy.
But I’m with the Doctor, the human race is the scariest!
It would be the weeping angels for me. Terrifying prospect to be sent back in time and history changed, or turned into an angel. I bet there’s even more we don’t know about them yet. If people can become angels, then maybe angels can become humans??? *shudders at thought*
