Hidden message uncovered on official website

Warning! This article and its comments may contain spoilers...
An intriguing hidden message has been uncovered on the official Doctor Who website!
Under the Fourth Dimension tab on the episode guide for The Impossible Astronaut, you’ll notice that each of the facts has one of its words marked out in italics. Put these words together and it reads:
“All the secrets you seek can be found here on the Webb”…
We suppose the only thing to do is go and search the official site! Let us know if you find anything below. Thanks to TSG for sharing the discovery in our episode discussion!
Hee hee, I think that’s the first time I’ve got a ‘thanks to TSG’. Bearing in mind that this is my 846th comment, that makes me happy.
Is it a reference to the fact that the general plot details were posted on Gallifrey Base and Digital Spy?
@Rose Weasley
Could be… It doesn’t specify the official website. On the other hand, is that not a little obvious? Are we supposed to be hunting for clues?
@TSG
How can you check how many comments you have made? (If you can or if you know) :)
@Patrick
Ah, I only know because I’m on the top commentors list down there on the right.
wow thats clever , very mysterious
Webb is what it actually says and Webb was the last name of the director of NASA from 61-68. He’s the one that pushed the moon landing program. However, he retired just months before the moon landing took place. During his time there, he launched 75 space missions to study stars and galaxies.
Further to ‘Webb’, there’s a crater on the moon with that name. And there was a ‘Project Blue Book’ scrapped in 1969 involving air raids on UFOs.
I take no credit for the above research – I read it straight off someone else’s hard work…
Webb — if it’s referring to NASA’s second administrator, James Webb, he’s basically responsible for making it into the organization it is today, and was a staunch advocate for both manned spaceflight and robotic scientific research. The successor to the Hubble will be named after him: the James Webb Space Telescope, expected to be by far the largest telescope ever flown in space. The JWST is actually what first came to mind for me, even though it’s in the (near) future (assuming the budget monster doesn’t eat it), not the past.
I’m not sure how that relates directly to this episode, but it’s plausible enough.
It’s not that unusual a name, though. For instance, though you might expect Webb Crater to be named for him (he’s deserving enough, given his Apollo contributions), it’s not. It’s named for 19th Century astronomer Thomas Webb.
@TSG
‘Project Blue Book’, eh? Blue Books remind me of the diaries…anyone else?
@Come along ponds
Exactly. Another diary?
Project Blue Book was apparently an investigation into the threat that UFOs possessed to the US. It was scrapped in December 1969 after a report called the Condon Report showed that all UFOs investigated by the Air Force were harmless and none of them were of extraterrestrial origin.
The director of episode 3 as well as the entire series finale is Jeremy Webb…
coincidence?
There’s a new message today – it reads “Found your message! You’re alive! But what secrets do you mean my friend?”
There’s a new one too:
I mean I glimpsed him and may the gods help him or perhaps you can.
