The BBC has released a trailer for upcoming drama Bert & Dickie, which stars Matt Smith as Bertram Bushnell.

It tells the true-life story of how the British rower defied odds to win gold in the double sculls alongside Richard ‘Dickie’ Burnell at the 1948 Olympics.

There’s no airdate yet, but you can see a preview of it in the player here. It’s been written by William Ivory and directed by David Blair. Sam Hoare and Geoffrey Palmer also star.
