It’s Monday *ahem* and for this week’s Remember when, we pass the torch (unrelated Olympics pun – just ’cause!) to River Song, that enigmatic “queen of mischief” whose life makes about as much sense as the Doctor’s wardrobe.

As we know all too well, River’s never been one to do things by halves, so if she is gonna get rescued, she is gonna do it in style, no? Well, she did just that in The Time of Angels, when she sent the Doctor an intergalactic message to make sure he was in the right place at the right time. Inspired!

It resulted in one of the most epic rescue’s in the show’s history, made more impressive by the fact she is safe in the TARDIS before the opening titles have even rolled! Relive the moment below – and you might want to find something to hang on to for this one…
