Alex Kingston will be the subject of tonight’s instalment of Who Do You Think You Are?.

The actress – who of course plays River Song in Doctor Who – will be tracing her family roots back to the First World War in which her great-grandfather, William Keevil, died, leaving behind his wife and family, including Alex’s grandmother.

Alex will also be investigating her Jewish ancestry – but her search to find the truth takes an unexpected turn…

Join Alex as she unravels her family tree tonight (Wednesday) on BBC One at 9pm. Let’s hope her timeline is easier to follow than River’s… You’ll be able to catch up via iPlayer.
