Steven Moffat has revealed the Cybermen will be “deadlier” when they return to Doctor Who next year.

The iconic metal monsters will be back in the second half of Series 7 as the foes in “a cracking ghost story” written by Neil Gaiman. “Neil is a great ghost story writer,” Steven told Vulture. “I want him to make the Cybermen creepier – a bit more… active. We’d gone as far as we could with the stumpy Cybermen, so I wanted to do their colder version. And I was interested in Neil giving it a ghost-story feel.”

    Read the original article, where it also says ’stumpy’, and I think they made a mistake, he surely said ’stompy’.

    @TWWL
    That would make more sense, I was a bit bemused until you pointed that out!
